The arrangements by Robert Shaw or Parker/Shaw (Alice Parker) are among some of the most famous, most performed and simply some of the most beautiful works for choir. Choir directors and singers (especially if they like some challenges) will want to work with these pieces again and again.
While the Parker/Shaw team edited several large works for choir (Brahms, Schubert, Haydn and others) their arrangements of traditional or popular works for SATB, SSA, TTBB choirs should be on the performance list of any choir than can tackle the arrangements.
