Johann Sebastian Bach

Born: Eisenach, Germany, 21 March 1685 – Died: 28 July 1750

The musical works of J.S. Bach includes solo instrumental, vocal and instrumental ensemble pieces.  His works tend to be clearly elaborated Baroque style works – when contrasted with other works from the same period – J.S. Bach wrote out most of the embellishments commonly inserted by performers of the day.  Some of the most famous works include:
